# Manifestos and Founding Documents Hub
This is the map of the vault's primary-source **manifestos, declarations, programs, and blueprints** — the documents in which movements write down what they intend before they do it. The recurring KB precept runs through all of them: *when movements publish their intentions, believe them.* The genre's most durable trick is formal rather than substantive — counter-democratic content dressed in the prestige of a founding charter, most often by borrowing the cadence of the 1776 Declaration of Independence.
A note on filing: works of this genre carry `format: manifesto`, `format: declaration`, or `format: speech` and live at the `/Works/` root alongside the ancient legal codes; book-length entries (anthologies, treatises, policy volumes) carry `format: book` and live in `/Works/Books/`. This MOC indexes across both.
## The declaration genre — 1776 pastiche to counter-democratic ends
The throughline cluster: charters that borrow revolutionary-founding form to justify hierarchy, secession, or violence.
- [[South Carolina Declaration of Secession]] (1860) — the grievance, with its states'-rights self-refutation
- [[Cornerstone Speech]] (1861) — the doctrine, stated affirmatively; the original perpetrator-authored memory war
- [[White Declaration of Independence]] (1898) — the enforcement; the manifesto that announced the only successful coup in U.S. history
- [[2083 A European Declaration of Independence]] (2011) — the genre's modern terror-mutation (see below)
## Secession, Jim Crow & the Lost Cause
- [[The Southern Manifesto]] (1956) — 101 members of Congress declaring massive resistance to *Brown*; judicial delegitimization as mass politics
- [[I'll Take My Stand]] (1930) — the Lost Cause aestheticized; supremacy's passage from politics into culture
- adjacent: [[The Camp of the Saints]], [[The Lost Cause]]
## The fascist canon
- [[The Doctrine of Fascism]] (1932) — fascism as theory; the total state, statist not yet racial
- [[NSDAP 25-Point Program]] (1920) — the party-platform-as-manifesto; economic antisemitism as anchor
- adjacent: [[Mein Kampf]], [[The Protocols of the Elders of Zion]]
## The terror-manifesto genre
Documents engineered to convert a diffuse online ideology into individual acts of violence; tracked analytically, never operationally.
- [[Industrial Society and Its Future]] (1995) — the anti-technology pole; mirror-image of [[The Techno-Optimist Manifesto]]
- [[2083 A European Declaration of Independence]] (2011) — counter-jihad compendium; the template-setter
- [[The Great Replacement (Tarrant Manifesto)]] (2019) — irony-armored; the ideology crossing into a replicable script
- [[Saint Culture]] — the pattern page for the copycat/veneration lineage (Poway → El Paso → Buffalo)
- adjacent: [[The Turner Diaries]], [[Siege]], [[Great Replacement Theory]]
## Movement-right founding documents & blueprints
The intramural and electoral charters of the modern American right.
- [[Contract with America]] (1994) — fusionism at its electoral high-water mark
- [[Against the Dead Consensus]] (2019) — the post-liberal [[New Right]] declaring that settlement dead
- [[The Conscience of a Conservative]] (1960) — the movement-conservative founding text
- [[Bronze Age Mindset]] (2018) — the dissident-right cult text
- [[Mandate for Leadership]] — Heritage's policy-blueprint series; the implementation-manual cousin of the manifesto (the [[Project 2025]] vehicle)
- adjacent essays: [[The Flight 93 Election]], [[Against David French-ism]], [[The Dark Enlightenment]]; the right's foundational [[Sharon Statement]] and [[Powell Memo]]; the Christian-nationalist [[A Christian Manifesto]] and [[The Case for Christian Nationalism]]
## Contrast & foil documents
The texts the right defines itself against — included to map the opposition the genre answers.
- [[The Communist Manifesto]] (1848) — the prototype of the modern manifesto; the document [[Cultural Marxism]] discourse distorts
- [[Port Huron Statement]] (1962) — the New Left's charter; left counterpart to the [[Sharon Statement]]
## The bracket
Read as a set, two pairs frame the arc of the American right: [[Contract with America]] ↔ [[Against the Dead Consensus]] bracket the rise and repudiation of the Reaganite fusionist synthesis, while [[Cornerstone Speech]] → [[White Declaration of Independence]] bracket the statement and the violent restoration of racial hierarchy. The declaration form recurs at every stage — which is the point this MOC exists to make visible.
