# Works Hub
Master hub for the `/Works/` folder — the vault's layer of cultural and intellectual artifacts: the books, essays, papers, films, songs, manifestos, parodies, software, and contested symbols that the right produces, canonizes, or fights over. Organized below by medium and by the curated indexes that already exist.
## By medium
Every medium now has a hub, and all hubs sit at `/Works/` level rather than inside their folders.
- [[Books Hub]] — 258 pages, the research corpus; see [[Reading Log Hub]] for a personal reading shelf
- [[Essays Hub]] — movement essays and essay series
- [[Academic Papers Hub]] — papers held as artifacts
- [[Reports Hub]] — investigative and institutional reports
- [[Manifestos Hub]] — the manifesto folder; see [[Manifestos and Founding Documents Hub]] for the genre analysis
- [[Doctrinal and Legal Texts Hub]] — legal codes, declarations, papal encyclicals
- [[Speeches Hub]] — spoken instruments. Speech pages that function primarily as events live in `/Events/` (e.g. [[Cross of Gold Speech]], [[Buchanan Culture War Speech]]) but are indexed there alongside in-folder pages like [[Chance for Peace Speech]] and [[Nixon Checkers Speech]].
- [[Films Hub]] — feature films, documentaries, documentary series
- [[Plays Hub]] — stage works as political documents
- [[Songs Hub]] — songs as political artifacts
- [[Audio Hub]] — podcasts and spoken-word recordings
- [[Parodies Hub]] — political satire, incl. [[Top SNL Parodies Hub]]
- [[Contested Symbols Hub]] — monuments, flags, iconography fights
- [[Software Hub]] — code as authored artifact, where the page is about the program and its authors rather than a company that sells it. Distinct from protocols filed as concepts ([[Bitcoin]], [[Ethereum]]) and platforms filed under `/Media/Platforms/`.
> [!info] Medium is recorded in `format:`, not in the folder
> `/Works/` uses **`format:`** for medium — never `subtype:`. Folder placement follows the *primary* form; a work with more than one form (a novel that became a film) is filed under its originating medium and records the rest in `format:`.
## Genre & canon indexes
- [[Manifestos and Founding Documents Hub]] — the manifesto/declaration genre spine
- [[Reading Log Hub]] — the reading shelf
- [[Contested Symbols Hub]] — flags, monuments, and iconography fights
- [[Foundations Works Hub]] — canonical political-philosophy texts
- [[Software Hub]] — code as artifact, and the test for when software belongs here rather than in `/Concepts/` or `/Companies/`
