# VoteRiders
A nonpartisan nonprofit that helps eligible voters obtain the identification documents their states require in order to vote. It occupies the practical end of the problem the vault documents analytically under [[Voter Suppression]]: strict photo-ID statutes do not formally disenfranchise anyone, they impose a documentation cost, and VoteRiders exists to pay that cost on an individual basis — tracking down birth certificates, covering fees, arranging rides to DMV offices.
It entered this vault through the [[Power to the People Festival (October 2026)]], where it received a share of ticket proceeds. Its CEO is **Lauren Kunis**.
> [!warning] Stub — single-source figures
> This page was created on 2026-10-04 to support the festival page and has not been built out from the organization's own filings. Two figures reported around the festival rest on a **single outlet** (WMAR-2 News, 2026-10-03) and are recorded here as that outlet's reporting, not as vault facts: that the organization aims to reach **10 million voters before November 2026**, and Kunis's statement that it would be "putting every dollar we raise on Saturday to immediate use, helping eligible voters get what they need to cast a ballot." Founding date, budget, state footprint and IRS status are **not yet verified** and deliberately omitted.
