# William Walters **William Walters** is the chairman of [[Daedalus Aviation]] and a former State Department official (the Daily Beast describes him as a former State Department surgeon). In October 2024 he gave $10,000 to American Resolve, a political committee connected to [[Kristi Noem]]. He has also given to the [[America First Policy Institute]]. After Noem became Secretary of Homeland Security, Daedalus won a no-bid DHS aircraft contract. On her last morning in office the department bought five jets from it for about $304 million. Noem disputes that Walters should be described as her donor. See [[DHS Daedalus Jet Purchases]].
