# Todd Chrisley **Todd Chrisley** is an American reality-television personality, star of the USA Network series *Chrisley Knows Best*. In 2022 he and his wife [[Julie Chrisley]] were convicted of conspiring to defraud Atlanta-area banks out of **more than $30 million** through fraudulent loans, along with several tax crimes including attempting to defraud the IRS by hiding income from their show. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison. He and Julie were **pardoned by [[Donald Trump]] in May 2025** as part of the [[Trump 2025 Pardon Spree]]. ## The Bank-Fraud Case A federal jury found that the Chrisleys submitted falsified documents to obtain millions in fraudulent loans from Atlanta banks and concealed millions in earnings from the IRS. The convictions covered bank fraud, conspiracy, and tax evasion. The May 2025 pardons came after their daughter Savannah Chrisley — who had become a public Trump supporter and spoke at the 2024 Republican National Convention — lobbied for clemency; Trump phoned Savannah to deliver the news personally, the celebrity-loyalty channel of the spree. ## Cross-references - Co-defendant and spouse: [[Julie Chrisley]] - Clemency event: [[Trump 2025 Pardon Spree]] - Mechanism: [[Pardons as Currency]] - Accountability frame: [[Elite Impunity]]
