# Ted Malloch **Ted Malloch** (born September 22, 1952, Philadelphia) is a London-based American business academic and pro-Trump author whom the Mueller team questioned as a possible relay point between [[Roger Stone]] and [[Jerome Corsi]] on WikiLeaks. ## The ambassadorship and the résumé In early 2017 Malloch was widely reported as a leading candidate for U.S. ambassador to the European Union (the administration denied considering him). In February 2017 the *Financial Times* found false claims in his memoir *Davos, Aspen & Yale*, including an Oxford professorship, an Emmy nomination and a knighthood (in fact an Order of St. John medal). Wikipedia also records a 2013 bankruptcy. *[Single-sourced.]* ## Mueller On March 28, 2018 FBI agents detained Malloch at Boston Logan airport on arrival from London and served a subpoena from Robert Mueller's office. Agents asked about Stone, Corsi, WikiLeaks, and whether he had ever visited the Ecuadorian embassy (he said no). Malloch said he had met Stone "three times," always in groups, that Corsi had helped edit one of his books, and that he was "not an operative" and had "no Russia contacts." He appeared before the grand jury in April 2018. Wikipedia says he passed a Stone instruction about WikiLeaks to Corsi. *[Single-sourced.]* His books include *Hired* (2017) and *The Plot to Destroy Trump* (2018). **Current status:** not verified. ## RWKB angle Malloch shows how thin the vetting could be in early Trump-era appointments — an inflated CV nearly carried him to a major embassy — and marks London as a node in the Stone–Corsi–WikiLeaks chain. ## See Also - [[Randy Credico]] - [[Roger Stone]] - [[Mueller Investigation]]
