# Rebecca Bennett **Rebecca Bennett** is a former Navy helicopter pilot and healthcare business leader, and the 2026 Democratic nominee for the U.S. House in NJ-07, challenging Republican incumbent [[Tom Kean Jr.]]. She won a competitive four-way June 2, 2026 primary on an affordability/cost-of-living message and was added to the DCCC "Red to Blue" program, having raised $2.9M+ from a small-dollar base — though she spent most of it winning the primary. She has hammered Kean over his prolonged medical absence and his vote for the Trump tax bill. See [[NJ-07-2026]] for full race context. ## Related - [[NJ-07-2026]] - [[Tom Kean Jr.]]
