# Peggy Carr Education statistician, appointed Commissioner of the [[National Center for Education Statistics]] in 2021 to a statutory six-year term after nearly two decades at the agency. Placed on administrative leave and removed on 24 February 2025 — the first NCES commissioner forcibly removed from the term the Education Sciences Reform Act gives the office.
