Patrick Byrne is an American entrepreneur and former CEO of Overstock.com who became a prominent figure in the [[Stop the Steal]] movement after the 2020 election. Byrne funded efforts to challenge election results, met with [[Donald Trump]] in the White House to discuss seizing voting machines, and promoted [[QAnon]]-adjacent [[Conspiracy Theory]] narratives about widespread voter fraud.
## The Arizona review
Byrne was the largest single funder of the [[2021 Maricopa County Presidential Ballot Audit]]. His Sarasota 501(c)(4), [[The America Project]], gave more than **$3.2 million**, over half of the roughly $5.7 million that private groups disclosed, and ran the "Fund the Audit" campaign. Profits from *The Deep Rig* (2021), a film built around his book and his stolen-election thesis, also went to it. The film's anonymous "Anon" turned out to be [[Doug Logan]], the CEO of [[Cyber Ninjas]], the firm running the review. Byrne was also formerly chairman and CEO of [[Sidney Powell]]'s [[Defending the Republic]], another of the review's funders. The review he paid for found that [[Joe Biden]] had won Maricopa County by 360 more votes than the official count.
