# Palmer Heenan **Palmer Heenan** is a former trial attorney in the Office of Fair Housing at the [[Department of Housing and Urban Development]], which he joined in October 2023. With [[Paul Osadebe]], he signed the August 2025 whistleblower disclosure to Senator [[Elizabeth Warren]] saying HUD leadership was shutting down enforcement of the [[Fair Housing Act of 1968]]. He is the lead plaintiff in *Heenan v. U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development*, the suit five of the office's attorneys filed on September 22, 2025 over its break-up. On September 29, 2025, HUD rescinded its certification that his job was critical to the agency's mission and fired him on the spot. As a [[Probationary Period]] employee he had none of the appeal rights that slowed Osadebe's removal. HUD said he had shared nonpublic information. Security escorted him out after he handed over his laptop. At a January 2026 forum held by Senate Banking Democrats he said that "current HUD leadership has enacted numerous policies designed to stop enforcement of the law," through "firings, coerced resignations and reassignments." He and Osadebe are represented by [[Whistleblower Aid]]. The full story, including the lawsuit's dismissal in September 2026, is on the [[Paul Osadebe]] page. > [!note] Stub > This is a short entry that hasn't been fully written yet. ## See also - [[Paul Osadebe]] - [[Federal Whistleblower Roster]] - [[Criminalizing Whistleblowers]] - [[Fair Housing Act of 1968]]
