July 24, 1981) has been President of El Salvador since 2019 — the self-described "world's coolest dictator" whose mass-incarceration state of exception (2022– ) cut the homicide rate to the lowest in the hemisphere and filled the CECOT mega-prison that the second Trump administration paid to use for its March 2025 deportees, including [[Kilmar Abrego Garcia]].
