# Monica De La Cruz **Monica De La Cruz** is the Republican U.S. Representative for **TX-15** (Rio Grande Valley), in office since 2023 and a symbol of the GOP's South Texas breakthrough. She was renominated March 3, 2026 and faces Democrat [[Bobby Pulido]] in November. Although Texas's 2025 map drew her seat to roughly Trump+18, Cook moved it to **Toss Up** on Sept 25, 2026. Her brother, Carlos De La Cruz, is the Republican nominee in the neighboring [[TX-35-2026]].
