# Louis Rossmann **Stub.** Louis Rossmann is a New York-based independent electronics-repair technician and YouTuber who became one of the most prominent public advocates for [[Right to Repair]]. Through his channel he documents board-level repairs and publicizes manufacturer practices — especially [[Parts Pairing]], repair-blocking [[Firmware]], and what he characterizes as deliberate obstruction of independent repair by [[Apple]] and others. He helped found and fund advocacy efforts pushing state right-to-repair legislation. His framing — that repair restrictions are an attack on ownership and consumer freedom — resonates across the political spectrum, blending consumer-rights and property-rights arguments. ## See Also - [[Right to Repair]] · [[Parts Pairing]] · [[Firmware]]
