# Isabela Herrera
The daughter of the Venezuelan-Italian banker [[Julio Herrera Velutini]] and a US citizen. While her father was trying to get a pardon, money from her reached [[Donald Trump]] through three channels. Trump pardoned him in January 2026.
| Date | What she gave or signed | Recipient |
|---|---|---|
| Dec 2024 | $2.5M | [[MAGA Inc]] |
| Jul 2025 | $1M | MAGA Inc |
| Sep 2025 | Pledged $2.5M; paid $835,000 on Oct 14, 2025 | [[White House Ballroom Project]] |
| Late Oct 2025 | Registered [[Concord Partners]] in Florida, which hired [[Alina Habba]] as general counsel | Habba |
Before the MAGA Inc gifts, her only recorded political donation was **$20** to [[Pete Buttigieg]]'s 2020 presidential campaign. The ballroom figures come from internal fundraising documents obtained by the *Washington Post*.
## The straw-donor complaint
In February 2026 the [[Campaign Legal Center]] asked the [[Federal Election Commission]] to investigate whether she was a straw donor, giving in her own name money that really came from her father. Federal law bars both straw donations and contributions from foreign nationals, and Herrera Velutini is not a US citizen. The complaint points to the timing: the gifts came while he was facing federal bribery charges and before his pardon. The FEC had not acted on it publicly as of October 2026.
## Banvelca
In July 2026 Banvelca, the Herrera family office, which dates its founding to 1781, named her its leader as the family's eighth generation. Neither that announcement nor her company biography mentions Concord Partners. She did not respond to requests for comment from the *New York Times* or the *Washington Post*.
