# Freada Kapor Klein Venture capitalist, social entrepreneur, and diversity advocate who co-founded the [[Kapor Center]] with her husband Mitch Kapor (creator of Lotus 1-2-3). Klein has been one of the most prominent voices in [[Silicon Valley]] pushing for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the tech industry — making her both a pioneer and a target as DEI became a politicized battleground. Klein's work sits at the intersection of two vault themes: the [[Philanthropy Ecosystem]] that funds progressive causes, and the broader culture war over DEI in corporate America. As anti-DEI campaigns accelerated from 2023 onward — driven by the same networks the vault tracks — figures like Klein who built institutional infrastructure for tech equity became part of the political landscape being contested. ## See Also - [[Kapor Center]] — the organization she co-founded - [[Philanthropy Ecosystem]] — the broader landscape - [[Silicon Valley]] — the industry she's trying to change
