# Erika Kirk
CEO and chairwoman of [[Turning Point USA]], appointed following the [[Assassination of Charlie Kirk]] in September 2025. A former Miss Arizona USA (2012), Erika married [[Charlie Kirk]] in 2021 and was his designated successor — he had told multiple TPUSA executives that he wanted her to lead the organization if anything happened to him. The TPUSA board unanimously elected her to the role.
Erika Kirk's ascension raises questions about dynastic succession in political organizations: whether a movement built around one person's charisma can transfer to a spouse who inherits the infrastructure but not necessarily the audience relationship. She holds a degree in American Legal Studies from [[Liberty University]] and brings a more explicitly theological frame to TPUSA's messaging than her husband did, studying for a doctorate in biblical studies. Her leadership represents a potential pivot from Charlie Kirk's culture-war populism toward a more overtly [[Christian Nationalism]] orientation.
