# Emilia Sykes **Emilia Sykes** is a Democratic U.S. Representative from Ohio (OH-13, Akron/Canton), in Congress since 2023 and a former Ohio House minority leader. She narrowly won re-election in 2024 (~2.2 points) over Kevin Coughlin, but Ohio's 2025 mid-decade redraw made the district bluer (~D+4) — moving her from one of the most endangered House Democrats to a Likely-Democratic incumbent. She is unopposed in the 2026 Democratic primary. See [[OH-13-2026]] for full race context. ## Related - [[OH-13-2026]]
