# Eddie Long Senior pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia, one of the largest megachurch congregations in the United States. Long was a prominent advocate of the [[Prosperity Gospel]] and an outspoken opponent of same-sex marriage. In 2010, four young men filed lawsuits alleging sexual coercion, which were settled out of court. He died in 2017, leaving a contested legacy that illustrates the intersection of [[Dominionism]], celebrity pastorship, and institutional accountability failures in the American megachurch movement.
