## Against prediction markets
- **Congress, May 2026.** Testifying to a Senate Commerce subcommittee, he said prediction markets "function as sports betting in every meaningful sense" and that "sports betting is being repackaged as a financial product." Because more than 90% of the volume is sports, he said, "a match fixing case on prediction markets is just a matter of time."
- **The tax tracker.** The AGA's estimate of state and tribal revenue lost to prediction markets passed **$1 billion** in May 2026. Kalshi's spokesperson called it "fake math from casinos."
- **G2E, September 29, 2026.** "While we knock on the front door, there's a new group of well-funded bad guys who've kicked in the back door." And: "Their house of cards is falling apart." Caesars CEO Tom Reeg said Miller had "never been so intense" in a G2E opening.
His position puts a Republican business lobbyist on the side of **state and tribal regulation** against a Trump-appointed CFTC chair and an industry advised by [[Donald Trump Jr.]]. See [[American Gaming Association]].
