# Andrew Ng
**Stub.** Andrew Ng (b. 1976) is a British-American computer scientist who co-founded Google Brain, led AI at Baidu, and co-founded Coursera and DeepLearning.AI — making him one of the most influential popularizers and educators of [[Machine Learning]] and [[Deep Learning]] worldwide. Like [[Yann LeCun]], he is generally a skeptic of near-term AI existential risk, famously comparing worrying about killer AI to worrying about "overpopulation on Mars," and emphasizes AI's practical benefits and the more mundane risks (bias, job displacement).
