# Win for America **Win for America** is the sportsbooks' super PAC: the money behind the [[Sports Betting Alliance]]'s state-level political push in the 2026 cycle. It registered with the FEC in **November 2025**. By **June 30, 2026** it had raised **$72,000,000**, all of it from four companies, and spent almost all of it by passing the money to two affiliate super PACs that give no outward sign of being funded by gambling companies. ## Where the money comes from (FEC, through June 30, 2026) | Contributor of record | Company | Amount | |---|---|---| | DK Crown Holdings Inc. | [[DraftKings]] | **$34,000,000** | | FanDuel Inc. | [[FanDuel]] | **$27,000,000** | | FBG Enterprises Opco LLC | [[Fanatics]] Betting & Gaming | **$5,500,000** | | Hillside (Shared Services US) LLC | [[bet365]] (Hillside is the bet365 group's corporate name) | **$5,500,000** | | **Total** | | **$72,000,000** | No individual donors appear. The treasurer is Brian Smith. ## Where the money goes Win for America is a pass-through. Through June 30 it had spent $69.9 million, almost all of it by transferring the money on: | Recipient | Amount | Profile | |---|---|---| | **[[American Conservative Fund]]** (C00927186) | **$50,600,000** | Republican-aligned super PAC. Same treasurer (Brian Smith). Raised $51.6M in the cycle, almost entirely from Win for America | | **[[American Future]]** (C00926204) | **$17,450,000** | Democratic-aligned super PAC | | Summit Management and Strategy LLC | $1.66M | Consulting | From there the money moved into state-level committees with local-sounding names: **American Conservative Fund Action Georgia**, **Texas Conservative Fund** and **Win for Pennsylvania**, according to Gaming America's April review of the filings. Vendors included [[Targeted Victory]] and Guidant Polling and Strategy on the Republican side, and GPS Impact and Blue Collar Communications on the Democratic side. A voter in Georgia sees an ad from a "conservative fund," not from DraftKings. ## Targets - **States where sports betting is illegal:** Texas and Georgia, where the goal is legalization. Win for America spent more than $12 million in Georgia through affiliates, per Reuters. - **States weighing tax increases or restrictions:** Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, Alabama. WBUR found spending in at least 11 states, some of it against legislators pushing prop-bet bans or advertising limits. DraftKings CEO Jason Robins called the strategy an experiment the company would evaluate after the cycle. - **Not federal races.** Per Axios's sources, there were no plans to spend on federal campaigns. The money is aimed at the state legislatures, where gambling taxes, licenses and prop-bet rules are actually written. - Axios reported plans to expand to as many as 15 more states, including Pennsylvania and New York, before November. ## Why it matters - **The disguise is the design.** Gaming America noted that the affiliates' names "obscure the gambling industry's role." That is the same affiliate-PAC architecture the crypto industry's [[Fairshake PAC]] used, now applied to gambling. Reuters ranked the sportsbooks as the cycle's third-largest corporate bloc, after crypto and AI. - **Both parties, one issue.** The Republican affiliate got about three-quarters of the money and the Democratic one about a quarter. The PAC is indifferent to party; it cares about gambling policy. - **Inside the gambling war.** Three of the four funders also run prediction-market products that undercut the state-licensed market this money defends. The PAC protects the regulated sportsbook business; its owners hedge with federal event contracts. See [[Sports Betting]] and [[Prediction Markets]]. > [!note] Figures > The $72M total and per-company amounts are FEC figures (OpenFEC API, pulled 2026-10-08), and they match Reuters' July reporting. Earlier press figures ($41M, $43M, $48M) were correct at their filing dates. Reports differ on which of DraftKings or FanDuel gave more in the first quarter. By June 30 the FEC shows DraftKings ahead. ## See also - [[American Conservative Fund]] · [[American Future]] - [[Sports Betting Alliance]] · [[DraftKings]] · [[FanDuel]] · [[Fanatics]] · [[bet365]] - [[Sports Betting]] · [[Fairshake PAC]] · [[Prediction Markets and Gambling Sector]]
