# Texans United for a Conservative Majority
**Texans United for a Conservative Majority** is the Texas state PAC that West Texas billionaires [[Tim Dunn]] and [[Farris Wilks]] moved their money into around the start of 2024. It is a spinoff of [[Defend Texas Liberty PAC]], which had become politically toxic after its president hosted [[Nick Fuentes]] in October 2023. The donors kept giving; only the vehicle changed. Wilks and a Dunn-linked firm put in about $2 million at the outset, and the PAC quickly spent it on primary challengers to Texas House Republicans, including David Covey's challenge to Speaker Dade Phelan.
