# Searle Freedom Trust The **Searle Freedom Trust** is a conservative and libertarian grantmaking foundation founded in **1998** by **Daniel C. Searle**, whose family fortune came from the G. D. Searle pharmaceutical company. Its money went mainly to free-market policy shops.
