## A Montana committee that files from Georgia
Save Our Montana is a textbook instance of the [[State-Branded Super PAC Template]]: a state name, a
generically protective verb, no disclosed principal, an out-of-state compliance address, and no money on
the registration. Athens, Georgia is roughly 2,000 miles from Helena.
It is the **fifth** committee this vault has found at 824 S Milledge Ave Ste 101 — see [[PDS Compliance]] —
and the first branded for a state in which none of the other four operate. The other four are tied to
New England and to national Senate races: [[Protect the Majority 2026]] and [[New England Victory Fund]]
raise for [[Susan Collins]] and [[John E. Sununu]], [[Battle Tested PAC]] has disclosed no spending, and
[[Defending America PAC]] spent in Pennsylvania.
## Why the timing is the fact
[[MT-Sen-2026]] is an **open seat** — [[Steve Daines]] is retiring — rated Solid R. A committee registering
to spend there four weeks out, on a **quarterly** filing schedule, will not file a receipts report before
2027. **It can therefore spend without ever naming a donor before the votes are counted.** Nothing on the
form is false and nothing is concealed; the disclosure calendar simply does not reach back inside the
window in which the money is spent.
> [!note] Stub built 2026-10-07 from the registration document alone
> Still to establish: whether it spends at all, in which race, and on which side. A Montana-named committee
> is not necessarily a Montana-race committee — [[Last Frontier PAC]] is Alaska-named and Alabama-filed,
> and [[Stronger Maine]] is Maine-named and Houston-filed. **Trigger: the first Schedule E line.**
