# Restoration PAC The flagship super PAC of the [[Dick Uihlein]] political operation — a Downers Grove, Illinois-based independent-expenditure committee run by GOP operative **Doug Truax** and funded almost entirely by Uihlein's [[Uline]]-derived wealth. Founded in 2015, it is the original and largest vehicle in what became the broader [[Restoration of America]] constellation, and one of the most heavily funded single-donor super PACs in the country. ## Funding: One Donor Restoration PAC is, in practical terms, a single-donor instrument. Since 2015, [[Dick Uihlein]] has sent it roughly **$144 million**. The giving is lumpy and cycle-driven: in one quarter of 2024 alone the PAC hauled in **$51.8 million**, and across the full 2024 cycle Uihlein contributed about **$76.2 million**, with the PAC's total receipts reaching roughly $81.9 million — of which about $77.6 million went out to other committees and independent expenditures. This is the defining feature of the Uihlein model: the PAC's capacity rises and falls with one man's checkbook, itself fed by a growing private business. ## 2024 Spending In the 2024 cycle Restoration PAC was a major pro-Trump outside-spending force: - **~$33.4 million** in independent expenditures (as of late October 2024) to support [[Donald Trump]] and oppose [[Kamala Harris]]. - **~$4.5 million** spent to oppose the re-election of Wisconsin Democratic Senator [[Tammy Baldwin]], part of the Uihleins' long-running focus on their home-state Wisconsin races. ## Place in the Network Restoration PAC sits alongside [[Restoration of America]], the Foundation for the Restoration of America, the Voter Reference Foundation, and [[Fair Courts America]] — the interlocking Truax-run, Uihlein-funded entities that together cover federal elections, election administration, messaging, and judicial races. Restoration PAC is the **federal independent-expenditure tip** of that spear.
