## Why the leadership-PAC legs matter
A campaign committee plus a party committee in one joint-fundraising account is routine. The three
**leadership PACs** are what make this structure more than that: a leadership PAC can transfer to *other*
candidates in ways a campaign committee cannot. So the account moves money both **to** the three senators
and **through** them.
The three races it names are the NRSC's own statement of where the Senate majority is decided —
[[ME-Sen-2026]], [[NH-Sen-2026]] and [[IA-Sen-2026]]. Two of the three are open seats; the third is the
only Republican-held seat in a state Kamala Harris won in 2024.
One of the three leadership PACs, Live Free or Die PAC, files from Georgia rather than New Hampshire, at the
same compliance operation as the joint-fundraising committee itself.
**Trigger:** a Form 3X disclosing receipts, which would show who is giving at joint-fundraising scale
across all three races at once. It is a quarterly filer, so that may land after election day.
