# NZSIS The New Zealand Security Intelligence Service is New Zealand's domestic and foreign human intelligence agency, covering both security intelligence (counterespionage, counterterrorism) and foreign intelligence collection. It operates alongside the [[GCSB]] (signals intelligence) in New Zealand's compact two-agency intelligence structure. As the smallest Five Eyes member, New Zealand's intelligence contribution is proportionally modest but strategically positioned — covering the South Pacific and maintaining relationships with Pacific Island nations that are increasingly contested by Chinese influence operations. ## See Also - [[GCSB]] — NZ signals intelligence - [[Five Eyes Alliance]] — the intelligence-sharing framework - [[Global Intelligence Hub]] — full agency index
