# ForAmerica **ForAmerica** is the [[Bozell Family]]'s social-media advocacy organization. It is a **501(c)(4)** founded in 2010 by [[L. Brent Bozell III]], who chaired it, and run day to day by his son [[David Bozell]]. Its legal name is **America Inc.** Where the family's [[Media Research Center]] produces content (media monitoring, [[NewsBusters]], [[CNSNews]]), ForAmerica distributes it. It was built to turn a mass Facebook following into pressure on Republican officeholders. ## What it did - **Audience.** Bozell biographies describe a following of more than **7 million** on Facebook. That figure has not been independently verified, but it made ForAmerica one of the larger conservative pages of the early-2010s Tea Party era. - **Targets.** Its campaigns included attacks on Republican leaders as well as Democrats, among them ads casting [[Mitch McConnell]] as "Obama's bag man" before his 2014 primary. As a 501(c)(4), it can campaign on issues without disclosing donors. ## The money ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer shows the arc: - **Peak:** revenue of about **$5.5 million in 2014**, at the height of the Tea Party fights. - **Since 2016:** under $1.4 million every year. - **FY2024:** **$846,000** in revenue and about $2.1 million in assets. That year David Bozell drew a $217,600 salary as president. Brent Bozell was unpaid as chairman but received $395,600 from related organizations. The decline matches the shift of conservative attention from Facebook advocacy pages to podcasts, X and Rumble. ## The family succession ForAmerica was David Bozell's proving ground. On **May 19, 2025**, the Media Research Center announced that Brent Bozell, after 38 years, would hand the presidency to David, effective **May 27, 2025**. Brent became president emeritus and was then appointed **U.S. ambassador to South Africa**. He formally took up his duties in Pretoria in February 2026. Who runs ForAmerica now that David runs MRC, and what it has done in 2025–26, has not been confirmed. The organization appears to have become a minor part of the family's operation, which is now centered on MRC. ## See Also - [[Bozell Family]] · [[L. Brent Bozell III]] · [[David Bozell]] · [[L.
