Sludge reported in July 2026 that it distributed more than **$4.5 million** in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, roughly triple its grantmaking the year before, ahead of the 2026 midterms. Recipients include Mitchell's [[Election Integrity Network]]. It also paid [[Verity Vote]], the consulting firm of [[Heather Honey]], about **$72,000** that year, the year before she joined DHS as its election-integrity official (Sludge; Democracy Docket). Not to be confused with [[FAIR]], the immigration-restriction group, or [[Pennsylvania Fair Elections]].
