# DMFI PAC
**DMFI PAC** (FEC committee **C00710848**) is the political committee associated with **Democratic
Majority for Israel**, an advocacy organisation that works to keep support for Israel a Democratic Party
position and spends in Democratic primaries and general elections toward that end. It files from
**P.O. Box 3617, Washington DC 20027** under treasurer **Jay Petterson**.
> [!note] Stub
> Created **2026-10-27** because the committee filed the largest independent-expenditure notice in the
> country on 26 October and had no page here. Its primary-election record, which is the more
> consequential part of its history, is not yet written up.
## The 26 October 2026 notice — the largest in the country that day

### Payees
| Payee | Amount |
|---|---|
| Midpoint Media LLC | $1,999,145.00 |
| Jewish Voice | $6,000.00 |
**The shape of the notice is unusual.** 99.70% of it is one broadcast line in one Alabama House district,
and the remaining $6,000.00 is two identical advertisements in a Jewish community publication for two New
York candidates. One buy and one courtesy, filed together.
## Why a $2 million House buy in Alabama is worth noting
**AL-02 is a Black-majority district drawn by federal court order** after litigation over Alabama's
congressional map, and [[Shomari Figures]] won it in 2024 as its first representative. A $2 million
independent expenditure supporting a first-term member in the closing week is a large commitment of a
single committee's resources to one House seat — larger, on this day, than any committee's notice in any
Senate race in the country.
It is below the $10 million floor this site uses for a standalone independent-expenditure entry.
## What is not known
- **Who funds the committee in this cycle.** No receipt has been read here.
- Whether the Alabama buy is positive advertising or comparative. The Schedule E purpose field does not
distinguish them.
- The aggregate figures on the two New York rows read **$19,000.00** each, which **cannot be read as a
race or committee total**: the meaning of that column varies by filer.
