# Bipartisan Policy Center
The **Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC)** is a Washington, D.C.-based think tank founded in 2007 by four former Senate majority leaders — Howard Baker (R-TN), [[Tom Daschle]] (D-SD), [[Bob Dole]] (R-KS), and George Mitchell (D-ME). BPC describes its mission as driving "principled solutions through rigorous analysis, reasoned negotiation, and respectful dialogue." Its policy work spans health care, energy, the economy, housing, national security, education, and election administration.
For the KB, BPC is relevant primarily as a source of nonpartisan research on election administration and voting access — including its analysis of the [[SAVE Act]] and [[Proof of Citizenship Requirement]] proposals and their impact on eligible voters.
<!-- TODO: expand with deeper coverage of BPC's election work, governance structure, funding, and positioning within the think-tank ecosystem -->
