# Ayn Rand Institute Nonprofit founded in 1985 by Leonard Peikoff (Rand's designated intellectual heir) to promote [[Objectivism]] after [[Ayn Rand]]'s death. Its highest-leverage program is the school pipeline: free classroom sets of *[[The Fountainhead]]* and *[[Atlas Shrugged]]* to teachers plus annual student essay contests — the mechanism that keeps Rand a perennial first-contact text for American teenagers and sustains six-figure annual sales decades after publication. ## See Also - [[Ayn Rand]] — namesake and source - [[The Fountainhead]] / [[Atlas Shrugged]] — the distributed canon (stub — to be expanded)
