# Amalgamated Bank **Amalgamated Bank** was founded in 1923 by the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America and remains union-owned. On federal campaign-finance filings it appears in two distinct roles, and keeping them apart is the point of this page. ## Role one: depository Committees name a depository on their Form 1 registration. Amalgamated's political banking office at **1825 K Street NW, Washington DC** is the depository of record for a long list of Democratic and progressive federal committees. On **5 October 2026** Amalgamated lent the **[[Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee]] $15,000,000.00** — the committee's only loan of the 2026 cycle, and **53.5% of its receipts** for the 1–14 October reporting period.
