# Donald Trump — Truth Social, November 2022 — the Ye–Fuentes dinner statements The series of **Truth Social statements Trump posted around November 25, 2022 about his Mar-a-Lago dinner with [[Kanye West]] and white nationalist [[Nick Fuentes]]** — distancing himself from Fuentes ("a guest whom I had never met and knew nothing about") while never condemning him. Not deleted. The dinner happened November 22, days after Trump launched his 2024 campaign. This file captures the posts as a coordinated damage-control artifact. The paired Quote file [[Donald Trump - knew nothing about Nick Fuentes]] carries the verbatim statements. ## Artifact properties | Property | Value | |---|---| | Dinner | 2022-11-22, [[Mar-a-Lago]] | | Posts | ~2022-11-25 and following days (a multi-statement sequence) | | Deleted | No | | Account | `@realDonaldTrump`, Truth Social | | Key line | "...a guest whom I had never met and knew nothing about" | | Notable omission | No condemnation of Fuentes or his views, in any statement | ## Why it matters as a Social Post **1. The posts are damage control as artifact.** This entry is not about a single utterance but about the *managed sequence* of statements Trump issued over several days — the structure of the non-apology. As an object, it documents the playbook: admit the fact, disclaim knowledge, decline to condemn, move on. **2. Non-condemnation is the signal to the base.** For the [[Groyper Movement]] and the online white-nationalist right, the access plus the absence of condemnation read as validation. The artifact's value is in what the posts *don't* say — exactly the kind of structural property a Social Post entry centers and a quote-only treatment misses. **3. It links the celebrity-antisemitism cycle to electoral-adjacent space.** Sitting between the [[Kanye West - 2022-10-08 - death con 3]] post weeks earlier and the broader 2022 mainstreaming cycle, this is the moment that current ran directly through a just-declared presidential candidate's dinner table. ## Related entries - [[Donald Trump - knew nothing about Nick Fuentes]] — paired Quote - [[Kanye West - 2022-10-08 - death con 3]] — the same cycle, weeks earlier - [[Nick Fuentes]] / [[Kanye West]] — the guests - [[Kayfabe]] — the non-apology logic - [[Groyper Movement]] — who read the dinner as validation ## Followup TODOs - **Capture archive_url** — Wayback snapshots of the statement sequence. - **Screenshot** into `/imgs/` and embed.
