# U.S. Mint
The **United States Mint** is the Treasury bureau that produces the nation's circulating coinage, commemorative coins and bullion. Established by the Coinage Act of 1792, it sits within the Department of the Treasury alongside the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (see [[Executive Branch Org Chart]]).
It enters the vault in September 2026 as the issuer of the **Semiquincentennial President Donald J. Trump 2026 $1 Coin** — the first U.S. coin to carry a sitting president alone, sold from September 2, 2026 in 25-coin rolls at $61 and 100-coin bags at $154.50. The coin and its 1926 Coolidge precedent are covered on [[America 250]].
