The component of [[ODNI]] responsible for counterintelligence and security policy across the intelligence community, established in 2014 by merging the Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive with several existing security offices. It leads the community's counterintelligence strategy, its insider-threat and personnel-security policy, and its damage assessments after a compromise.
Its Director is one of the officials notified whenever an intelligence community element files a crimes report with the Justice Department over a suspected unauthorized disclosure, and the Center reports to the Director of National Intelligence on those cases twice a year.
