# Anchorage Summit 2025 The August 15, 2025 in-person summit between [[Donald Trump]] and [[Vladimir Putin]] in Anchorage, Alaska — the lone face-to-face meeting amid the [[Trump II]] phone-call channel tracked at [[Trump-Putin Calls Timeline]], sitting between the August 18 and October 16 calls, with the planned Budapest follow-up subsequently cancelled. Putin's first visit to U.S. soil in a decade, staged on the territory Russia sold America — the symbolic optics were the story as much as the (inconclusive) Ukraine diplomacy.
