# Winklevoss 10M Bitcoin to MAGA Inc
On **June 19, 2026**, [[Cameron Winklevoss]] and [[Tyler Winklevoss]] contributed **188 bitcoin**, valued at
**$10,018,464.91**, to [[MAGA Inc]] — [[Donald Trump]]'s principal super PAC. It is among the largest
in-kind cryptocurrency contributions ever made to a federal committee, and it landed **twenty-three days**
after a federal regulator moved in favour of the exchange the brothers founded.
> [!warning] The date on this Deal is June 19, 2026 — not August
> MAGA Inc's **September Monthly Report** (file 2014511, coverage August 2026) carries roughly $10.01 million
> of Winklevoss money on its face, dated **2026-08-20 and 2026-08-21**. **That is not a second
> contribution.** Those rows record the committee *selling* bitcoin it had already been given, and the same
> dollars appear up to three times each across a primary row and two memo rows. Any future sweep that sees
> ~$5M Winklevoss rows in a monthly report must check the aggregate column before treating them as new
> money. See **The August rows** below.
## The contribution
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|

| Cameron Winklevoss | **$5,006,604.47** |
| Tyler Winklevoss | **$5,011,860.44** |
| Combined | **$10,018,464.91** |
| Form | In-kind — **188 bitcoin** |
| Recipient | [[MAGA Inc]] (FEC **C00892471**) |
| Disclosed in | Form 3X, **file 2000587** (July Monthly) |
| Donors of record | Winklevoss Capital, 30 W 24th St, New York, NY 10010 |
The near-identical but unequal amounts are what an in-kind crypto gift looks like: two separate transfers of
bitcoin, each valued at the market price at the moment of receipt, which moved slightly between them.
## The CFTC timing
On **May 28, 2026**, the [[CFTC]] announced that it had **joined [[Gemini]]'s effort to seek relief from a
2025 enforcement judgment** against the exchange, citing credibility problems with a whistleblower account
and weaknesses in the evidence. The original 2025 settlement had imposed a $5 million penalty, which had
been paid and would not be refunded. The brothers' $10 million contribution to the President's super PAC
followed **twenty-three days later**.
> [!note] What the timing does and does not establish
> A regulator moving in a company's favour and that company's owners giving to the President's super PAC
> three weeks later is a sequence, not a transaction. The reporting that surfaced it says so explicitly and
> offers no evidence of coordination or exchange. The vault records the sequence because the interval is
> short and both events are documented; it does not assert a quid pro quo. Compare the [[GEO Group]] entry
> on [[MAGA Inc]], where the interval was three days and the same caution applies.
## The August rows — a false candidate, documented so it is not built twice
MAGA Inc's September Monthly contains eighteen itemised Schedule A rows. Among them:
| Row | Entity | Amount | Date | Memo text |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SA17.5529 | ORG [[Gemini]] Trust Company | $4,993,309.04 | 2026-08-21 | 65.145 bitcoins sold via Gemini Trust — purchaser unknown |
| SA17.5531 | ORG [[Gemini]] Trust Company | $5,014,995.12 | 2026-08-21 | 65.147 bitcoins sold via Gemini Trust — purchaser unknown |
| SA17.5540 | IND Cameron Winklevoss | $4,993,309.04 | 2026-08-21 | 65.145 bitcoins — **see `SA17:5529`** |
| SA17.5548 | IND Cameron Winklevoss | $4,993,309.04 | 2026-08-21 | 65.145 bitcoins **liquidated** |
| SA17.5542 | IND Tyler Winklevoss | $5,014,995.12 | 2026-08-21 | 65.147 bitcoins — **see `SA17:5531`** |
| SA17.5550 | IND Tyler Winklevoss | $5,014,995.12 | 2026-08-21 | 65.147 bitcoins **liquidated** |
**130.292 of the 188 contributed bitcoin were sold in August for $10,008,990.33.** The proceeds are reported
on **Line 17, Other Federal Receipts** — the correct treatment for converting a previously contributed asset
to cash — with cross-reference and liquidation memos attributing them to the brothers. Their running
aggregate columns land at **$5,006,955.00** and **$5,012,196.08**, which are the June figures plus two
trivial fractional-bitcoin rows, and which would be roughly double if August had contained new money.
This is why the eighteen rows sum to **$33.7 million** against **$23.7 million** of actual period receipts.
The filing is correct; reading it as a donation ledger is not.
## Position in the pattern
The brothers' giving to this committee is not new — each gave $1 million in bitcoin to [[Donald Trump]]'s
2024 campaign, each gave $500,000 to a Republican Senate challenger in Massachusetts, and in August 2025
they committed $21 million toward Republican congressional campaigns for the 2026 midterms, with Tyler
framing it as securing a crypto-friendly policy agenda. What distinguishes the June 2026 gift is scale, the
in-kind form, and the regulatory sequence preceding it.
It also sits alongside the other large crypto position in MAGA Inc's file: **Foris DAX**, the Crypto.com
entity, whose $35 million is the largest corporate contribution the committee has received. The
digital-asset industry is now among the committee's most concentrated funding sources, routed variously
through [[Fairshake PAC]], [[Stand With Crypto]] and direct gifts like this one.
## Open questions
- **The remaining ~58 bitcoin.** 188 were contributed; 130.292 were sold in August. The balance sits
unliquidated and will surface in a later report.
- **Whether the CFTC matter resolves further.** Any subsequent relief granted to [[Gemini]] extends the
sequence and should be recorded on the [[Gemini]] page rather than here.
- **Whether the pattern repeats before election day.** Trigger: any further Winklevoss or Gemini-entity
receipt in the October Monthly (2026-10-20) or a 48-hour notice.
