# Pritzker 6M Two Committee Funding Block October 2026
On **2 October 2026**, **[[J.B. Pritzker]]** — the sitting Governor of Illinois — gave **$6,000,000.00**
to two federal committees on the same day. The two contributions were filed under **two different name
forms**, which is why they were not read as one donor at first.
| Recipient | FEC ID | Amount | Line | Name as filed | File | Aggregate on the row |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| [[Ready for the Fight PAC]] | C00960997 | **$5,000,000.00** | `SA17` | *Pritzker, JB* | 2039824 | $10,000,000.00 |
| [[Senate Majority PAC]] | C00484642 | **$1,000,000.00** | `SA11AI` | *Pritzker, Jay* | 2040025 | $1,000,000.00 |
Both rows are on original, unamended pre-general reports covering 1–14 October 2026, neither carries a
memo flag, and both give the contributor entity type as **IND** — an individual.
## The two name forms are one person
FEC filings carry a contributor's legal name as the filer typed it, and filers are not consistent. The
identification here rests on five points taken together:
1. **The governor's legal name is Jay Robert Pritzker.** "JB" is the form he uses in public; "Jay" is his
given name.
2. **The same date**, 2 October 2026, on both rows.
3. **Entity type IND** on both — an individual, not an organisation or a candidate committee.
4. **The same building.** *Pritzker, JB* gives **111 S Wacker Drive, Suite 4000, Chicago IL 60606**;
*Pritzker, Jay* gives **111 S Wacker Drive, Suite 4010, Chicago IL 60606** — two suites on one floor of
one tower.
5. **An earlier read of these same two documents** recorded the occupation field as *"State of Illinois"*
on both rows.
This site titles the page by the name he uses in public, **[[J.B. Pritzker]]**, and records *Pritzker, JB*
and *Pritzker, Jay* as aliases on it. That is the standing rule here: a filing gives a legal name, and the
page takes the public one.
## The $5 million is a different instrument from the $1 million
- The **$1,000,000.00** to **[[Senate Majority PAC]]** is on line `SA11AI` — an itemised contribution from
an individual to a political committee.
- The **$5,000,000.00** to **[[Ready for the Fight PAC]]** is on line `SA17`, with purpose text
*"Non-Contribution Account"*. That is money the committee may spend on independent expenditures without
limit, held apart from any account it uses to give to candidates directly.
**The line number is part of the fact.** Five of the six million dollars went into a vehicle whose
spending is unlimited and uncoordinated; one million went into the Senate Democrats' main outside-spending
committee. They are not interchangeable.
## The open question
🔴 The **running aggregate** on the Ready for the Fight row reads **$10,000,000.00** against a
$5,000,000.00 contribution. On the committee's own arithmetic that means **a further $5,000,000.00 from
the same donor earlier in the 2026 cycle**, on a filing this site has not yet located. The aggregate
column is maintained by the filer and this site does not treat it as a total — it is recorded as an open
item, not as a figure.
If that earlier payment is confirmed, the governor's disclosed 2026 giving into these two committees alone
is **$11,000,000.00**.
## What to watch
- **The earlier $5,000,000.00** into [[Ready for the Fight PAC]]: which report carries it.
- **Any further Pritzker contribution under either name form**, including to Illinois-facing committees.
- **[[Ready for the Fight PAC]]'s first Schedule E**, which would say what the non-contribution account is
buying.
