# LCV Victory Fund 6M Funding Block September 2026
Two contributions totalling **$6,000,000.00** arrived at [[LCV Victory Fund]] in September 2026 and
became public together on the committee's monthly report, filed **October 18, 2026** — sixteen days
before the election. Between them they are **73.1%** of everything the committee raised that month.

| Recipient | **LCV Victory Fund**, FEC **C00486845**, 740 15th St NW 7th Floor, Washington DC 20005 |
| Disclosed on | Form 3X (`F3XN`), file **2029848**, received **2026-10-18 12:45:53**, covering **2026-09-01 to 2026-09-30** |
| Filing frequency | **Monthly** — this is the September report, filed ahead of the October 20 monthly deadline |
| Line | **11(a)(i)** — itemised contributions, not transfers and not other receipts |
| Month's receipts | **$8,207,803.51** |
| Cash at September 30 | **$12,848,988.15** (opened the month at $14,452,593.98; spent $9,811,409.34) |
Both rows are original first-time disclosures: each contribution date falls inside the report's own
coverage period, so no earlier report could have carried it, and neither is a memo entry restating
money counted elsewhere in the document. Bloomberg's running aggregate equals his row, which means it
is his first contribution of the cycle to this committee.
> [!note] The report's spending side is not new money
> The same document carries **$7,930,893.21** of itemised independent expenditure across 141 lines.
> Checked line by line against all 100 of the committee's prior 24- and 48-hour notices, **every one
> of those 141 lines appears on an earlier notice: the report restates $7,930,893.21 and first
> discloses $0.00.** A monthly report repeats the advertising already filed during the month, so none
> of it is added to any race total here.
## Why it matters
**It is the first seven-figure Bloomberg contribution this site has traced in the 2026 cycle.** He is
listed on the filing as chief executive of Bloomberg LP, at 17 E 79th St, New York. The sum is
unremarkable by his historical standards and notable for where it went: an environmental committee
whose 2026 spending has been concentrated in a single Senate special election.
**Five of the six million dollars came from the committee's own advocacy arm.** The League of
Conservation Voters, Inc. is a [[501(c)(4)]] social-welfare organisation, which means it does not
disclose its own donors. A grant from a 501(c)(4) to an affiliated super PAC converts undisclosed
money into disclosed spending without ever naming the people who supplied it, and that is the larger
share of this block. The practice is legal and routine; the effect is that the public record names
Bloomberg and does not name whoever supplied the other five million.
**It arrived while the committee's cash was falling.** The committee spent $9.81 million in September
against $8.21 million raised, ending the month $1.60 million down and holding $12.85 million. On this
record the six million is replacement money for a programme already running at a deficit, not an
escalation.
**The committee's declared ambition is far larger than this.** It has publicly said it will spend at
least $50 million backing Democrats in the midterms, which puts a six-million-dollar month in
proportion.
## Where the money is going
The committee's disclosed advertising in this cycle has been dominated by [[OH-Sen-2026-Special]],
where it has run against [[Jon Husted]] on every notice recorded here, through buyers including
[[C Plus K LLC]] and The Strategy Group LLC. It added its first supporting lines in October, both in
Virginia House races, one of them for [[Elaine Luria]].
## Open questions
- Who funds the League of Conservation Voters, Inc. The 501(c)(4) side of the organisation is not on
the federal campaign-finance record at all.
- Whether Bloomberg gives again before November 3. In the final fortnight only 24- and 48-hour notices
would show it.
- What the $20,601.42 implied by the League of Conservation Voters row's aggregate column was. That
column's meaning varies by filer and is not published here as a committee total.
