# Griffin 10M to Donalds Florida Governor PAC On July 24, 2026, [[Ken Griffin]] — founder of [[Citadel]] — gave **$10M** to the political committee backing [[Byron Donalds]]' bid for governor of Florida, the **largest single contribution recorded in the race**. With Griffin's check, Donalds' operation exceeded **$103M raised**. ## Significance Clears the §7.1 individual-donation threshold tenfold and anchors Griffin's re-emergence as a top-tier 2026 funder after sitting out much of the 2024 presidential cycle. The donation is part of a July burst: ~$10M to [[Senate Leadership Fund]] (~July 15, see [[Griffin 10M to Senate Leadership Fund]]), roughly $4M more across tight Senate races, and a cycle total reported at $40M+. Griffin — a Florida resident since moving Citadel to Miami — is buying a major stake in the marquee governor's race of the [[2026 Governor Races Hub]] map. ## See Also - [[Ken Griffin]] - [[Byron Donalds]] - [[Griffin 10M to Senate Leadership Fund]] - [[2026 Governor Races Hub]]
