# Government That Works PAC 3M to VoteVets [[Government That Works PAC]] sent **$3,000,000.00** to **[[VoteVets]]** on **September 24, 2026**. The transfer became public on VoteVets' own monthly report, filed **October 19, 2026** — fifteen days before the election, and more than three weeks after the money moved. It is the **third recipient** this site has traced to the same committee, and the first that is not tied to a single state. ## Terms | Item | Detail | |---|---| | Payer | **Government That Works PAC**, FEC **C00915595**, 611 Pennsylvania Ave SE Ste 143, Washington DC — a commercial mailbox suite | | Payer committee type | **Hybrid PAC with a non-contribution account**, unauthorised, first filed **2025-08-11**; treasurer Christopher Koob | | Recipient | **VoteVets**, FEC **C00418897**, PO Box 11293, Portland OR 97211; treasurer Rick Hegdahl | | Amount | **$3,000,000.00** | | Date of receipt | **2026-09-24** | | FEC line | **17** — other federal receipts, marked **Non-Contribution Account** | | Entity type on the row | `PAC`, with the payer's own committee ID **C00915595** recorded in the row | | Disclosed on | Form 3X (`F3XN`), file **2030392**, received **2026-10-19 11:12:57**, covering **2026-09-01 to 2026-09-30** | | Running aggregate on the row | $3,000,000.00 — the first transfer on this pairing | The row is an original first-time disclosure. The receipt date falls inside the report's own coverage period, so no earlier report could have carried it; it is not an amendment and not a memo entry restating money counted elsewhere in the document. ## What it tells us, and what it does not **The payer is a registered committee, so it files — and it has never accounted for its own money.** It appears in this wiki three times, always as a funder named on somebody else's report: | Recipient | Amount | Dates | Theatre | |---|---|---|---| | [[Nebraska Values PAC]] | $4,000,000.00 | 2026-09-15, 2026-09-23 | [[NE-Sen-2026]], against [[Pete Ricketts]] | | [[Lone Star Rising PAC]] | $3,750,000.00 | reported 2026-05 | [[TX-Sen-2026]], against [[Ken Paxton]] | | **VoteVets** | **$3,000,000.00** | **2026-09-24** | national, veterans-focused | | | **$10,750,000.00** | | | **It is spending on both sides of the partisan ledger's usual geography and in no single state.** A Nebraska race in which an independent is running against a sitting Republican, the most expensive Senate contest in Texas, and a national veterans' organisation are three different projects. The one thing they share is a funder whose own donors are not on the federal record. **The money went to a non-contribution account.** Both VoteVets and the payer are hybrid committees, which keep a separate account for independent spending that may accept unlimited sums. Line 17 is where that account's receipts are itemised. It is a lawful structure, and the practical consequence is that a transfer of this size never passes through a contribution limit. **What this does not establish.** No filing states a purpose for the transfer, and VoteVets raised **$7,872,423.04** in September from many sources, so the money was not segregated and cannot be traced to any particular advertisement. The committee ended the month holding **$9,296,884.49**. ## Why it matters The cheapest route to whoever is ultimately paying for three separate 2026 programmes runs through one committee's own receipts, and those receipts have still not been read here. Until they are, the public record names a mailbox on Pennsylvania Avenue and stops. ## Open questions - Its own receipts. It is an FEC filer, so they are disclosable and readable. - Whether a fourth recipient appears before November 3. - What the $400,000.00 implied by the aggregate column on the Nebraska rows before 2026-09-15 was. - What VoteVets spent the money on, which only its post-election reports will show. ## Sources - FEC Form 3X, file **2030392** — `https://docquery.fec.gov/dcdev/posted/2030392.fec` - [Government That Works PAC committee overview — FEC.gov](https://www.fec.gov/data/committee/C00915595/) - [Meet the megadonors behind the pro-James Talarico super PAC — Texas Tribune](https://www.texastribune.org/2026/05/14/texas-james-talarico-super-pac-donors-lone-star-rising-dark-money-democratic-billionaires/) — reports the $3.75 million to Lone Star Rising PAC ## See also - [[Government That Works PAC]] · [[VoteVets]] · [[Government That Works PAC 4M to Nebraska Values PAC]] - [[Nebraska Values PAC]] · [[Lone Star Rising PAC]] · [[NE-Sen-2026]] · [[TX-Sen-2026]] - [[Pete Ricketts]] · [[Dan Osborn]] · [[Ken Paxton]] - [[Dark Money]] · [[Super PACs]] · [[Hybrid PAC]] · [[Independent Expenditure]] · [[Deals Hub]]
