# Datwyler Four Super PAC Formation Cluster October 2026
On **e-file receipt date 2026-10-05**, twenty-nine days before the general election, **four
independent-expenditure-only committees registered with the FEC within one filing session**. All four
Form 1s carry the **same street address, the same Gmail address, the same phone number, the same treasurer
and the same bank**. Three of the four are named after states; the fourth is named after a region that
appears nowhere on its own paperwork.
This is the largest single-day instance of the [[State-Branded Super PAC Template]] recorded in the vault
— the previous record was three committees from one Washington PO box on 2026-09-21 — and it clears §7 on
the formation rule, which has no dollar floor during the midterm window.
> [!important] Updated 2026-10-12 — there is a sixth Datwyler committee, it predates all of these, and it has money
> [[Aurora Action Network]] (C00907584) registered with the FEC on **2025-06-06**, lists
> [[Thomas Datwyler]] as treasurer, and disclosed on **2026-10-11** (file **2019466**) **$2,596,500.00**
> of cycle receipts — **$1,500,000.00** of it from [[Elon Musk]] — with **no Schedule E at all**. It
> moved **$1,500,000.00** to the Alaska ranked-choice-voting repeal campaign [[Repeal Now]] and
> **$250,000.00** to **[[Make A Diff Inc]]**, a corporation at **Hudson WI** — this
> cluster's own address.
>
> The statement below that these committees disclose **no money** remains accurate **for the four
> described on this page**. It was never a claim about Datwyler's whole roster, and the vault now knows
> the roster is older and larger than the four. See
> [[Elon Musk 1.5M to Aurora Action Network]].
## The four registrations
| Committee | FEC ID | Form 1 file | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| [[Buckeye Freedom PAC]] | **C00963017** | **2017106** | Super PAC, unauthorized, no connected organisation |
| [[Red Alaska PAC]] | **C00963025** | **2017113** | Super PAC, unauthorized, no connected organisation |
| [[WY Action]] | **C00963041** | **2017118** | Super PAC, unauthorized, no connected organisation |
| [[Northshore Justice]] | **C00963066** | **2017137** | Super PAC, unauthorized, no connected organisation |
Sequential FEC IDs, sequential file numbers, same receipt date, same signature date **2026-10-05**.
## The shared infrastructure, read off the four forms
| Field | Value — identical on all four |
|---|---|
| Address of record | **Hudson, WI** |
| Email on the form | a personal Gmail address |
| Treasurer | **Thomas Datwyler** |
| Custodian of records | **Thomas Datwyler**, same address |
| Depository | **First Resource Bank, 7449 Village Dr., Lino Lakes, MN** |
| Committee type code | **G** — general, no party or candidate affiliation declared |
| Joint-fundraising representatives | **none** on any of the four |
| Money disclosed at registration | **none** |
Four committees, one Gmail account, one Wisconsin street address, one Minnesota bank, and nothing to
disclose.
## Why it clears §7
Deals **§7** places **new PAC and super-PAC formations in scope for the whole midterm window with no
dollar floor**. Four at once, from one desk, four weeks out, is the case the rule was written for.
It is not an independent expenditure and not a contribution. **No money is disclosed on any of these
filings**, and this page asserts none.
## What the names point at, and what they do not
Three of the four read as state-targeted:
- **Buckeye Freedom PAC** — Ohio. The same receipt date carried **$2,941,828.36** of independent
expenditures into [[OH-Sen-2026-Special]] from six unrelated committees, the densest race on the day.
- **Red Alaska PAC** — Alaska, where [[AK-Sen-2026]] took **$162,270.00** the same day from
[[Last Frontier PAC]].
- **WY Action** — Wyoming, where **$1,222,006.35** of primary-period spending surfaced the same day on
[[Wyoming Way Action PAC]]'s Q3 report.
- **Northshore Justice** — **no geography is stated on the form.** "Northshore" is used for places in
Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and Louisiana, and the vault does not guess which. The
committee's address is in Wisconsin, as are the other three, which says nothing about its target.
> [!warning] WY Action is not Wyoming Way Action PAC
> Two Wyoming-named committees appear on the same receipt date and they are **different committees**.
> **WY Action** is C00963041, registered 2026-10-05, Hudson WI, treasurer Thomas Datwyler, no money.
> **[[Wyoming Way Action PAC]]** is C00949115, Cheyenne WY, treasurer Amanda West, which disclosed
> $1,222,006.35 of August primary spending on its Q3 report (file 2017014). Nothing links them beyond the
> state in the name.
> [!warning] A shared treasurer is a vendor relationship, not a money trail
> **Thomas Datwyler is a high-volume Republican compliance treasurer** who signs for a large number of
> federal committees; the vault already records him on
> [[Mobilizing Americans for Real Change and Opportunity PAC]] (C00962019), registered from the same
> Hudson, Wisconsin address on **2026-09-21**. Four committees signed by him means four clients hired one
> practice, **or** one client opened four committees, and **the filings cannot tell you which.**
>
> The vault retracted a "Gantt/Beverly network" reading in September for exactly this error. This page
> records a **form**, not a faction.
## What is nevertheless established
The caution above narrows the claim; it does not empty it. Three things are on the face of the documents:
1. **These are professionally administered committees, not grassroots ones.** Somebody retained a
Washington-grade compliance practice before there was a dollar to comply with.
2. **The branding decision preceded the legal formation.** Four names, three of them state-coded, filed in
one sitting.
3. **The disclosure calendar is the point.** A super PAC registered on **2026-10-05** with a quarterly
obligation discloses **no donor before the election**. Voters who see an ad from "Red Alaska PAC" in
late October can verify the committee exists and cannot learn who paid for it until after the votes are
counted — the structural gap catalogued under [[Dark Money]], reached by the calendar rather than by a
501(c)(4).
With Datwyler's 2026-09-21 registration, that is **five** committees from Hudson,
Wisconsin inside fifteen days.
## What to watch
- 🔴 **The first Schedule E line from any of the four.** That is when the cluster stops being a formation
curiosity and becomes traceable money, and it is the trigger that matters.
- 🔴 **A sixth committee from Hudson WI.** Five in fifteen days is already a program
rather than a client list.
- **Northshore Justice spending anywhere.** The first expenditure settles the geography the form withholds.
- **Whether the cluster is partisan.** Nothing in these four registrations declares alignment — committee
type `G`, no connected organisation, no joint-fundraising representatives. The template is used on both
sides, and the vault should not code these as right-wing before the spending says so.
