# America PAC 100M Midterm Turnout Program
On July 29, 2026 (Axios exclusive; NYT follow-up July 30), [[Elon Musk]] authorized [[America PAC]] to spend **$100M–$120M** on a field program to boost conservative turnout in the 2026 midterms — reviving at scale the operation that spent $260M+ electing Trump in 2024 and made Musk the largest political donor in U.S. history.
## Program design
The program targets **low-propensity conservative voters** — those less likely to cast ballots in non-presidential years — across **at least eight states**, using door-to-door canvassing, digital advertising, and direct mail. It is a turnout/field operation rather than a persuasion air-war buy, echoing the canvassing-heavy model America PAC ran in 2024.
Musk reportedly framed the stakes internally as "America is toast if the radical left wins."
## Significance
The largest single new political-money commitment of the 2026 cycle, from the cycle's precedent-setting megadonor. It follows a year of mixed signals — Musk's public feuds with Trump, his floated third party, and comparatively modest direct giving (see [[Musk March 2026 America PAC Contribution]]) — and settles the question of whether the [[America PAC]] machinery would re-activate for the midterms. As an authorized spend program rather than a single disclosed contribution, dollar figures are a reported range; actual FEC-visible flows will land in monthly filings from August onward.
