# Anduril 2026 Employee Tender Offer
In October 2026 [[Anduril]] opened a tender offer that lets eligible current and former employees sell their shares at **$94.80 each**. Total purchases are capped at about **$1.3 billion**, and the offer runs from **October 13 to November 9, 2026**. Bloomberg first reported it on October 14, and CNBC followed the same day.
The price values Anduril at roughly **$90 billion**. That is about 48% above the **$61 billion** set five months earlier in the [[Anduril Series H]], which was led by [[Thrive Capital]] and [[Andreessen Horowitz]].

## What a tender is, and isn't
A tender offer is not a fundraising round. Employees get to turn some of their stock into cash, and the money comes from the buyers, not from Anduril. So the company's balance sheet doesn't grow, and the **$90B figure is a price, not new capital**. Still, it is the first valuation mark set since Anduril's big October government announcements.
## Why it matters
The timing is the story. The tender opened one week after Anduril announced a Navy submarine-components deal worth **up to $2.9 billion** ([[Anduril Navy Submarine Components Contract]]) and an Army command-and-control deal worth **up to $1.8 billion** ([[Anduril Army NGC2 Corps-Scale Contract]]). Both figures are ceilings, the most the government could spend over the life of each deal. Very little of either has actually been committed yet.
That is the sequence the venture-funded defense model depends on. First the government signals demand, then the equity gets re-priced, and the company's own capital (here, the $3.7B Arsenal-2 shipyard) bridges the gap until federal money arrives. The tender shows the private market putting a price on that demand before the money has moved.
## Open questions
- Who is buying the shares? No buyer has been named. Existing backers such as [[Founders Fund]], Thrive or a16z are the likeliest, but none has been reported.
- How much was actually sold? The $1.3B is a cap, not a confirmed total.
- Is this a step toward a larger primary round or an IPO? Earlier reporting described talks at around $100B; this tender is not that round.
