# Soros Conspiracy Theory The **Soros conspiracy theory** is the family of claims casting [[George Soros]] and the [[Open Society Foundations]] as the hidden financier and director of otherwise unrelated political phenomena — migrant caravans, racial-justice protests, election administration, and reform prosecutors among them. Its structure is consistent across variants: a real and documented grant becomes proof of command, and every subsequent event in the funded domain is attributed to the funder's intent. The theory's durability comes from that kernel of verifiable fact. Soros does fund left-of-center causes, openly and at scale, and tracking that money is legitimate — this vault does it. What makes the conspiracy version a conspiracy version is the inferential leap from *donated to* to *controls*, combined with the asymmetric application: comparable right-wing donor networks funding the same categories of race are described as ordinary politics.
