# Anduril Anvil [[Anduril]]'s kinetic counter-drone interceptor — a small autonomous drone that destroys enemy drones by physically ramming into them at speeds approaching 200mph. Anvil represents the simplest approach to the drone threat: meet drone with drone, destroy via collision, minimize collateral damage. ## What It Does Anvil autonomously intercepts Group 1-2 UAS threats (small drones) with kinetic precision. Cued by [[Anduril Lattice]], Anvil receives target tracking data, maneuvers to intercept, and destroys the target via high-speed collision. Human authorization is required before engagement. The kinetic approach avoids the collateral damage risks of explosive interceptors in populated areas. ## Who Uses It ### U.S. Marine Corps $200M contract for integration into MADIS (Marine Air Defense Integrated System). Part of the broader $642M Marine Corps counter-drone deal (10-year, through 2035). ### USNORTHCOM Tested for domestic military base protection. The Minot AFB mission (late 2025) was the first operational test following Falcon Peak 25.2 experiments at Eglin AFB. A team of 11 soldiers was certified as the Army's first operational counter-UAS unit using the NORTHCOM Counter-small UAS fly-away kit. ### U.S. Army Part of the $20B enterprise agreement. The Army's rapidly deployable fly-away C-UAS kit includes Sentry (detection), Anvil (kinetic defeat), and Lattice (command and control). ## Contract Value - $200M USMC MADIS contract - Part of $642M Marine Corps counter-drone (10-year) - Part of $20B Army enterprise agreement - Part of $1B SOCOM IDIQ ## See Also - [[Anduril Product Ecosystem]] — Master reference - [[Anduril]] — Company record - [[Anduril Lattice]] — Software platform (cues Anvil) - [[Anduril Roadrunner]] — Explosive counter-drone counterpart - [[Anduril Pulsar]] — EW complement - [[Anduril Sentry Tower]] — Detection component
