# Zeta Global
Zeta Global Holdings (NYSE: ZETA) is a New York–based marketing-technology company that sells AI-driven customer-acquisition and retention software to large consumer brands. Founded in 2007 by serial entrepreneur David A. Steinberg and former Apple CEO John Sculley, it went public on the NYSE on June 10, 2021 at $10 per share, raising roughly $215M. Tracked in the KB as Palantir's counterparty in the June 2026 [[Palantir-Zeta Global Partnership]] — the clearest single signal of Palantir's push to diversify into commercial (non-government) revenue.
## What it does
Zeta's core asset is data: it runs one of the marketing industry's largest proprietary databases, built on "trillions of consumer signals," and sells access to it through the Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP), which unifies identity resolution, predictive intelligence, and omnichannel activation (email, web, social, connected TV) in one system. The pitch to enterprises is that they can acquire and retain customers more cheaply by targeting Zeta's data rather than buying fragmented third-party audiences. This is the same category — surveillance-adjacent, data-brokerage-driven marketing — that makes the company a natural fit for Palantir's data-integration stack, and a useful lens on how consumer-data infrastructure and government-data infrastructure increasingly run on the same tooling.
The company's current flagship is **Athena by Zeta**, a conversational "superintelligent" AI agent that reached general availability in March 2026 and was extended to advertising and media agencies in June 2026. Zeta has paired Athena with outside model providers, announcing an [[OpenAI]] collaboration for "answer-driven marketing" before the Palantir deal.
## Scale and finances
Zeta is a real, growing business rather than a speculative one: full-year 2025 revenue was **$1.305 billion, up ~30% year over year**, with ~$199M in operating cash flow and ~$165M in free cash flow, and management touting an 18th consecutive "beat and raise" quarter. That scale is what makes the Palantir partnership more than a logo swap — it attaches Palantir's [[Palantir Foundry]] platform to a billion-dollar revenue engine with an existing enterprise sales motion.
## The Palantir partnership
Under the June 23, 2026 [[Palantir-Zeta Global Partnership]], Zeta is re-architecting its Data Cloud on top of [[Palantir Foundry]], with Athena sitting on Foundry as the intelligence-and-interface layer, plus a joint go-to-market push into Palantir's enterprise base. Zeta framed the deal as capable of driving more than $100M in annual revenue over a multi-year horizon — that figure is Zeta's own revenue guidance, not a disclosed contract value to Palantir. For Palantir, the value is distribution and a commercial-diversification proof point; for Zeta, it is enterprise-grade data infrastructure and Palantir's customer relationships.
