# Passage Press
**Passage Press**, which also trades as Passage Publishing, is a small publishing house that has become the main book publisher of the online "New Right." [[Jonathan Keeperman]], a former university lecturer who posted for years as "Lomez," founded it in 2021. Its list runs from [[Curtis Yarvin]] and [[Nick Land]] to reissued pulp fiction and the original, unrevised Hardy Boys. It is also a social hub for the movement. It threw a "Coronation Ball" on the eve of Donald Trump's second inauguration, staged Yarvin's 2025 debate at Harvard, and in 2026 started selling its books through Blaze Media.
## At a glance

## What it publishes
- **Today's online right.** Yarvin's blog *[[Unqualified Reservations]]* in book form, and *Gray Mirror: Fascicle I, Disturbance*, the first of a planned four-part work. Land's *Xenosystems* blog writings. Collections by Sailer and John Derbyshire. Announced titles by Taki Theodoracopulos, Charles Cornish-Dale, who writes as [[Raw Egg Nationalist]], and [[Paul Gottfried]]. A speculative-fiction anthology with contributions from [[Bronze Age Pervert]] and Cornish-Dale.
- **Reissued classics.** Under its Passage Classics imprint it reissues Jünger, the memoir of Peter Kemp, a British volunteer for Franco's Nationalists in the Spanish Civil War, and memoirs by White Army veterans of the Russian Civil War.
- **Pulp and children's books.** Robert E. Howard, H. P. Lovecraft, a new *Treasure Island*, and the first six Hardy Boys novels in their original versions, before the 1950s–60s revisions. The press markets the bundle as "making children's literature great again" and calls the revisions an effort to strip out "politically incorrect" content. Writing in the *New York Review of Books*, Daniel Lefferts notes that Applewood Books had already reissued the originals in the 1990s, and finds less offensive material in them than the marketing implies.
- **Patrician editions.** Leather-bound versions of some titles, priced at about $295.
## A cultural project, not just a press
Keeperman describes Passage as part of building a right-wing culture, not just publishing books. In a 2025 interview with *New York Times* columnist Ross Douthat, he said he wanted to build an "enduring and meaningful counterweight to a dominant left." He faulted older conservative art for being moralizing and nostalgic. Passage also sponsored the fashion designer Elena Velez, a figure in New York's Dimes Square downtown scene, who has cited the company and its founder as an inspiration.
The press has staged events as well:
- **The Coronation Ball (January 2025).** On the eve of Trump's return to office, Passage hosted a party at Washington's Watergate Hotel. Guests included [[Steve Bannon]], [[Jack Posobiec]] and Dasha Nekrasova, co-host of the podcast *Red Scare*. *GQ* named it the "New Right Party of the Year."
- **Yarvin vs. Allen (May 5, 2025).** Passage organized, with Harvard's conservative student John Adams Society, the debate at the Harvard Faculty Club in which Yarvin argued for monarchy against political philosopher [[Danielle Allen]]. Harvard did not sponsor it. See [[CEO Monarchy]].
- **Conservative media (2025–2026).** Keeperman began co-hosting *Rufo & Lomez* with [[Christopher Rufo]] on [[Blaze TV]] in late 2025. In October 2026 Blaze Media began selling a selection of Passage books through its online store.
## The founder and the "Lomez" account
Keeperman, a UC Irvine MFA graduate who taught in its English department until 2022, ran the influential pseudonymous account "Lomez" (also styled "L0m3z") for years. *The Guardian* identified him in May 2024. Critics point to posts from the account that used slurs and called for journalists to be executed. Supporters, including Blaze Media and *The Post Millennial*, called the *Guardian* story a smear and a doxxing.
## Growing pains
In April 2026 *The Bulwark* reported on turmoil inside the company. Among its findings:
- Passage bought Terror House Press in May 2025. Its authors said they weren't told how the arrangement would work until November and weren't paid.
- Passage acquired *Man's World*, Cornish-Dale's men's magazine, in 2024, then handed it back to him in July 2025 after he complained of delays and neglect.
- Cornish-Dale's book *The Last Men* came out in December 2025 from [[Regnery Publishing]] instead of Passage.
Passage did not respond to *The Bulwark*'s request for comment. Separately, *The Guardian* reported in 2025 that Passage had been folded into Foundation Publishing Group, a company first registered in California in 2021, which re-registered in Delaware and Oklahoma in March 2025.
## Why it's on the map
**1. It turns posting into institutions.** Much of the New Right grew up as anonymous accounts. Passage converts that audience into books, magazines, parties and debate stages. That is the "build parallel institutions" strategy in practice.
**2. It is Yarvin's main publisher and promoter.** Passage puts [[CEO Monarchy]] and the rest of Yarvin's program into print and onto elite stages like Harvard.
**3. It uses classics as branding.** Restored Hardy Boys and reissued adventure stories carry the movement's politics to readers who would never pick up a political tract.
**4. It shows how fast the fringe moves to the center.** In about two years its founder went from an anonymous account to a *New York Times* interview and a show on a major conservative network.
