# NTD Television A multilingual television network affiliated with Falun Gong, operating alongside the Epoch Times as part of the movement's media infrastructure. Founded in 2001 by Falun Gong practitioners, NTD began as an anti-Chinese Communist Party outlet but has expanded into a significant right-wing media operation in the United States, producing content that blends legitimate coverage of CCP abuses with conspiracy theories, COVID misinformation, and pro-Trump advocacy. NTD and the Epoch Times represent a distinctive node in the [[Media Ecosystem]]: a religious movement's media apparatus that found political alignment with the American right through shared anti-CCP sentiment and Trump-era cultural politics. [[Shen Yun]], the Falun Gong performing arts production, serves as the cultural complement to NTD's news operation. Together, they constitute one of the largest and least-understood media operations influencing American conservative audiences. ## See Also - [[Shen Yun]] — the Falun Gong performing arts operation - [[Media Ecosystem]] — the broader right-wing media landscape
